ZZ plants have been around since the late 90’s, hailing from drought prone Africa these guys can take a beating. It can live almost anywhere and still shine bright. The green waxy leaves reflect sunlight making it work in even the dimmest of corners. It’s on the NASA list for air purifying goodness!

Light : These plants best out of direct sun. Perfect for a low light spot. 

Water:  Let the soil dry out between watering and then give him a big drink. 

Humidity: You don’t need to worry about any extra humidity. 

Temperature: As long as your ZZ isn’t freezing he’ll be fine. 

Food:  You can feed him every two months in spring and summer with regular plant food. 

Toxicity:  Your ZZ plant is toxic to pets if ingested and is an irritant.

Lower leaves turning yellow and falling off is often normal, if this is happening to your whole ZZ plant then you are probably over watering him. 

Browning leaf tips can mean the air is too dry. A light misting will sort him out. 

Browning leaves usually means over watering. Back off a little and let him dry out between waterings.
