String of Hearts

(2 customer reviews)

“Ceropegia woodii”

Love is in the air! This super pretty delicate trailing plant is a member of the succulent genus and is actually pretty hardy. It’s heart shaped leaves give it it’s name which are dark green and silver. It comes in a kokedama, a plastic free alternative to the humble nursery pot,  which you can hang or have sitting on a shelf. (If you want to learn more about the kokedama you’ll fine some information here)

Light : She will need plenty of bright indirect sunlight to keep her little hearts looking their best. Anything from a window to a bright shaded spot.

Water:  Let her little pot completely dry out before you water her and then give her a good drink.

Humidity: These little hearts will be happy in normal household humidity.

Temperature: Your string of hearts will be happy in the warm so don’t let her get too cold.

Food:  You can feed her with weak fertiliser once a month during the spring and summer months.

Toxicity:  Your String of Hearts isn’t toxic so will be a lovely addition to your menagerie.

Dimensions 12 × 20 cm

If there are big gaps between the leaves or the marbling isn’t as prominent means she needs more light.

The biggest problem you will encounter will be over watering so make sure you let the soil dry out between waterings.

Absolutely perfect. The coconut holder is just brilliant, I’d love a dozen plants in these, hanging around. The string of hearts was lovingly wrapped up and looks fabulous in place. I may need another for a different room.
