‘Kalanchoe Thyrsiflora’

This is a beautiful succulent with a South African origin. They have beautiful paddle shaped ‘petals’ which at their base are a lovely fresh green and turn red at the tips. Succulents are great for first timers, they put up with a decent amount of accidental neglect, and they come in such lovely and unique shapes and sizes.

Light

Absolute sun gods! Bright light will make your succulent happy. Young succulents can scorch in the sun so be mindful. They’ll also appreciate being moved around a little so the entire plant gets the sun.

Water

Succulents are pretty drought tolerant but they will thrive on a good watering schedule, just let the soil dry out between waterings. Don’t water in the winter months.

Humidity

Succulents need no extra humidity.

Temperature

Keep your succulent warm in an ambient temperature or in a conservatory.

Food

No extra feeding is at all necessary.

Toxicity

This guy is NOT pet safe.

Dimensions 5.5 × 10 cm

Losing lower leaves can be quite normal, if you think you’re doing everything right then just carry on as normal.

Soggy roots mean over watering so let it dry out before you think about watering again. If you think it’s got root rot then drop us a line to see if we can help.

Getting a bit ‘leggy’ can indicate your succulent isn’t getting enough light. Make sure it’s in a sunny spot.
