Anthurium Clarinervium

Here she is!!! I have been waiting for SO long to get my hands on these BEAUTIES. They are so SO so gorgeous. Big velvety heavily veined heart shaped leaves. They are pretty hard to find and I was only entrusted with 6 of them… well 5 because of course one ended up in my jungle. Such a lovely statement plant she’s perfect to sit on her own or in amongst the rest of your houseplant collection. I LOVE HER!

Availability: 1 in stock

Light : Keep you Anthurium in bright indirect light. You don’t want to scorch the leaves in the hot afternoon sun.

Water:  Water thoroughly when the top 3 or so centimetres have dried out. Give her enough water that it drips out of the drainage holes at the bottom of the pot. More light/warmth means she’ll be extra thirsty.

Humidity: This one does love a good dose of humidity so you can put her in the bathroom/kitchen or group her with the other kids in your home jungle, or you can give her a good misting.

Temperature: She does like to be kept warm so she’s a good one for a conservatory. Just don’t let her get too hot else she’ll wilt (just like the rest of us huh?)

Food:  During the growing season (spring/summer) you can fertilise your Anthurium once a month with ¼ strength all round fertiliser.

Toxicity: This lady is not kind if you eat her so maybe best out of reach of nibblers. Also the sap can irritate your skin so be careful if repotting or pruning.

Dimensions 15 × 40 cm

These ladies can be quite susceptible to root rot so if you’re concerned I would always err on the side of under-watering than overwatering. It’s much easier to revive a dry plant than a drowned plant.

If you see roots growing from the stems, don’t worry, these are just aerial roots that will enjoy a bit of misting. If you don’t like the look of them you can snip them off without causing her any harm.
