Kokedama

Kokedama (in English, literally means “moss ball”) is a ball of soil, covered with moss, on which an ornamental plant grows. It’s a technique which is popular in Japanese gardens.

The Kokodama that comes with your plant is similar in principle to the ‘moss ball’ but it’s made in Sri Lanka using 99% natural coconut fibre.

It’s pretty nifty as it can sit on a table or shelf, or you can use the macrame hanger to hang it up. You don’t need any other pot to sit your plant in and is a great planet friendly alternative to plastic nursery pots.

Please note your Kokodama isn’t watertight so you will need to water it over a sink so your feet don’t get wet!
